Liveaboard Learning Vacation!
Spend the week aboard a luxurious sailing yacht while an American Sailing Association (ASA) certified instructor prepares you for a lifetime of sailing. ASA certifications are recognized worldwide.
During class you will liveaboard a spacious, fully equipped late model yacht to include galley dishes, utensils, bath towels and bedding. Private classes, class boats, textbooks and tests are included. Our marina facilities offer showers, sauna, hot tub, swimming pool, deli, laundry facilities and The Boathouse Restaurant. No need to rent a car, we are conveniently located across the street form the San Diego International Airport just a taxi ride away.

Days 3 & 4 - ASA 104 instruction aboard a 37' or larger

Days 1 & 2 - ASA 101 instruction aboard a Capri 22
Days 3 & 4 -ASA 103 instruction aboard a 32'
Days 5 & 6- ASA 104 instruction aboard a 37' or larger

Basic Keelboat 101 and Coastal Cruising 103
Monday |
Move aboard your 32' yacht and stow your belongings. Begin the ASA 101 Basic Keelboat course on a Capri 22 (hoist sails, act as helmsman, successfully tack, jibe and study for ASA 101 written test). Wrap up the day at approximately 4pm; enjoy free time, walk the island or stop by one of the many fine restaurants located on Harbor Island.

Tuesday |
Continue the ASA 101 Basic Keelboat course. Take the written test, perform man overboard, knot tying and docking drills.

Wednesday
|
Solo
sail a Capri 22 and enjoy free time in beautiful San Diego.

Thursday |
Begin the ASA 103 Coastal Cruising course aboard your live aboard yacht (boat handling under power, general engine knowledge, set sails and study for the ASA 103 written test).

Friday |
Take the written test, complete the ASA 103 Coastal Cruising course (anchoring, docking, mooring and man overboard drills) depart vessel by 4pm. |

"We started our experience with Harbor Sailboats in June of 2005. Our instructors were first rate; we have learned so much about sailing and most importantly, working together as a couple on a sailboat. The staff is always very helpful, friendly and professional.
