“In December 2005, my adult son and I took ASA 101, Basic Keelboat. We had a blast, learned quite a bit and came back in early 2006 to take ASA 103, Coastal Cruising. On Sunday, while we were on a 32' sailboat, we had a chance to leave the bay and go out on the ocean, which was rocking with 10’ swells. Logan, our instructor, was great, and clearly has a passion for sailing. My son, who at 20 does not get too enthused about much, really loves sailing now.
I have been very impressed with the fleet of sailboats, and how meticulously they are cared for. The dockhands are always helpful; Lois and Laura in the front office are awesome. They make the whole process of signing up for a course or taking a boat out for the day very smooth.
If you are looking for a place to learn to sail or already know how and want to sail some of the newest and most beautiful sailboats, I highly recommend Harbor Sailboats.” |

“Harbor Sailboats has provided me with stellar instruction and resources for sailing some of the most beautiful yachts in the world (which happen to be in their fleet of new Beneteau’s!). The staff is very accommodating and professional while remaining laid back and real. Thanks to Harbor Sailboats, I have found a new passion that I can pursue safely and confidently for the rest of my life.” |

“We had a goal of becoming ASA certified during our fall 2005 vacation. After researching several different schools and areas we chose Harbor Sailboats in San Diego. Lois created a customized 3-week intensive live-aboard vacation designed specifically to meet our needs and goals. What a great team and time we had during our stay.
First we lived on the 47’ Beneteau “Blue Note” during the 3 weeks. Our instruction started immediately upon arrival. We did 101 with Mike, than 103 with Logan. We had a few days in between prior to 104 with private instructors Tony, Ray, Mike and Andrew. The last course was Bareboat Cruising. It was a real intense brain storming time but we enjoyed every moment!
After getting so much instruction, it was time to practice. Last February we chartered a 44’ Catamaran for 11 days in the British Virgin Islands. I think this was the most beautiful vacation we have ever had. The experience we gained with Harbor Sailboats’ professional team allowed us to sail with great confidence and we fulfilled a dream we had for so many years. In the fall of 2006 we are coming back to Harbor Sailboats for the ASA 105 and 106 courses. We are hooked on it!!!!” |
