Women on the Water

The W.O.W. program is designed to sharpen boat-handling skills and increase on-the-water time for all female sailors. If you are Basic Keelboat certified you have met the pre-requisite. Several skills will be introduced as teams of two sail together on a Capri 22 or group sails on a 27' or larger yacht in a supportive environment.

W.O.W. sailing is offered each month year round.

The member fee is $75 per clinic (boat and instruction included)

Regarding the women on water sailing group, I just wanted to say that I had a great time. It was nice to get back to basics and have a chance to refresh my sailing skills for the summer sailing season. The women in the class were great. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere that allowed everyone to just have fun with sailing. I am looking forward to next week. Thanks. -Natalia Hobbs

I know I can speak for everyone when I say that our level of confidence moved up several notches in just the first outing. I think that, when we all took our Basic Keelboat instruction, we had our eye on the bigger boats. However, to really fine-tune our abilities, going back to the 'sports-car' size vessel genuinely helps. Thanks for putting it together! -Mary Prewitt
